If you are having trouble setting up a 3D HDTV or a 3D monitor that uses HDMI 1.4 interface to work with Nvidia’s 3DTV Play software, either because of some strange and unknown issue, or because the specific display is not yet available in the list of officially supported products, then this tutorial from the user bgnome over at the MTBS forums might help you. It is quite easy to be used as it is based on Brad Gearon’s EDID Override Inf file, so you may want to try it before giving up on playing games in stereo 3D mode from your PC on an HDMI 1.4-capable 3D monitor or 3D TV set. Also if you do try it, feel free to share your comments and success rate below…

So I'm probably getting annoying at this point but after many days of trying all types of games out with the latest drivers it seems the only one that actually displays in 3D is Trine 2, all the other games seem like they're working, the sync lights on my display turn on and it looks as if things are working like normal but I'm getting no separation whatsoever in any game except for Trine even though I used ctrl+f4 to increase the separation to 100% and the control panel reflects this. I tried using Driver Cleaner to erase my drivers to reinstall them but nothing has changed since doing that. I also tried uninstalling the 3DTV Play Activator and re-activating my serial code and it all works out fine but still no change in the control panel. For now I'm switching back to 296.10 to actually play my games in 3D but those drivers aren't going to work for everything for long

What I'm reading about 3DTV Play is that it's the component or driver piece necessary for 1.4 HDMI support (for televisions and receivers). Considering pretty much all of the 'inexpensive' 120hz DLP 3D projectors don't have 1.4 capabilities, this probably won't work (as indicated by the system req page - no projectors are listed).
